Landscaping work

Tender description

The City of Edinburgh Council wishes to appoint a suitably experienced contractor to undertake hard and soft landscaping works within Saughton Park, Edinburgh and who can demonstrate their ability to deliver high quality craftsmanship and landscape schemes. The works will be carried out under NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract Option A. Saughton Park is one of Edinburgh's key heritage parks and a Heritage Lottery Fund grant has been awarded to restore and improve the park. The Parks, Greenspace and Cemeteries Department has been tasked with delivering these improvements and a new Master Plan has now been adopted following an extensive design and consultation process. All necessary planning permissions and listed building approvals have been granted and funding is in place for the majority of the proposals. The outcome of funding bids for some elements is awaited but is expected to be in place before the contract is awarded.
