Tender description

The Welsh Blood Service requires a Robotic Sample Processor and associated software to dispense samples and reagents into test tubes, micro-plates and DiaMed AGT and other column agglutination cards. The system must be configurable and be able to prepare dilutions of plasma and red cells and dispense into the above receptacles in one process. The system will be used to dispense samples and reagents for red cell blood grouping, phenotyping, antibody screening and other agglutination tests. The Robotic sampler must be capable of reading bar-codes of samples, reagent receptacles, micro-plates, column agglutination cards and other receptacles. The file output from the Robotic sampler containing the sample and test receptacle bar-codes, positions dispensed within the test receptacle and error messages must be compatible with Stratec Aurora software which will be used with a DUET reader to read and interpret the test results. Any changes to the system software to enable this must be provided by the supplier. The Aurora software will also output the results to the host computer, the format of which will remain unchanged. The Robotic sampler and associated software must be IVDD compliant. All racks and consumables (excluding reagents) required for the performance of the above test must be provided.
