Expression of Interest - Fibre Broadband for City Estates

CoL’s “Superfast City” programme has sought to improve wired and wireless coverage in the Square Mile for small businesses and residents. However to date the Superfast City programme has been solely focussed on ensuring the provision of superfast broadband to small businesses and residents in the Square Mile, and no provision has so far been made for improving broadband services to CoL’s 12 housing estates (made up of 3000 properties) in outlying London Boroughs (shown in Appendix 1), the majority of which it is understood have no enhanced broadband services. This Expression Of Interest (EOI) document sets out CoL’s requirements in inviting fibre broadband operators to connect to these housing estates to ensure that residents have access to faster and affordable broadband connectivity.
