Tender description

Who Speclialist Work With You will be working with a team of web developers consisting of a Team Leader and three other analyst/programmers. Your design will need to be approved by the team as they will need to maintain the system after you have left. The team works with other teams under a senior leader, part of a bigger IT department running its own Linux environment. What Specialists Work On Work as part of a team, taking responsibility for developing a web-based application using tools such as PHP/JavaScript/MySQL. The developer will need to work closely with the customers to gather detailed requirements and subsequently design and build an application to suit the customers’ needs. Where possible the development should follow an Agile/RAD route utilizing the environment and facilities available within the Defence Statistics environment and MOD constraints. After delivery of the project the successful candidate will need to handover support of the application to the existing development team. Where the Work Takes Place Ministry of Defence Abbey Wood in Filton, Bristol BS34 8GH. The work will take place on the north site, NH5. Full office facilities will be provided and the site has a canteen. Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Onsite 5 days per week. Working with other analyst/programmers and the team leader, but heading development for one application. Expenses (including travel and subsistence) should be subsumed within the agreed daily rate of pay. Work Location Ministry of Defence Abbey Wood in Filton, Bristol BS34 8GH. Security Clearance The individual will need to attain Security Cleared if not already held.
