Impartial Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Advice Service (ISENDIAS) for Contract to start in January 2018. The purpose of the ISENDIAS is to promote, support and facilitate where necessary, partnership between children, young people and their families and the Local Authority (LA), Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), schools, health services and voluntary bodies in identifying, assessing and making provision for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. The Outcomes of the service are: — Parents/carers and young people feel better informed about health, care and education services — Parents/carers and young people have improved independence and feel empowered to make decisions — Disagreement resolution and tribunals are a last resort, and the service's skill ensures most cases are resolved amicably. The contract is for the provision of an Impartial Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Advice Service (ISENDIAS) service which is independent from the Council, education providers and health providers so that it can provide parents/carers and young people with advice which is impartial. The service reflects the statutory duty of local authorities and clinical commissioning groups (CCG) to provide impartial information advice and support in health, care and education for their community, as laid out in the Children and Families Act 2014.
