Tender description

The Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire has awarded a framework arrangement for the provision of Soft Shell Jackets (Lot 1) and Microfleece Tops (Lot 2). This framework is available for use by all Police Forces in the UK. The garments will be worn by police officers and staff whilst undertaking a range of operational duties. The Soft Shell Jacket is worn by police officers and staff whilst undertaking a range of operational duties. The jacket is worn as part of a layering system over standard police uniform and equipment. It is worn as either the top-layer or as the under-garment to the outer waterproof coat. The resulting framework agreement is available for use by all Police Forces in the United Kingdom. A list of current police forces in the UK is available at http://www.police.uk/forces/ The Microfleece Top is worn by police officers and staff whilst undertaking a range of operational duties. The top is intended to be worn under body-armour and provide a thin layer between the shirt and the body-armour. It is essential that the garment's design is compatible with items in the laying system. The resulting framework agreement is available for use by all Police Forces in the United Kingdom.
