Summary of the work Taking Organ Donation to 2020 - Discovery phase for a ‘digital’ donor card and other content / tools to facilitate family conversations or break down barriers. Specialist role User researcher Expected Contract Length 4 weeks Latest start date Monday 24 July 2017 Who Speclialist Work With This User researcher will be embedded in an agile delivery team consisting of Digital Delivery Manager, UX Designer, Subject Matter Expert and Business Analyst. What Specialists Work On 1. User/focus group research leading to prototype designs for an ‘digital’ donor card and other content / tools to facilitate family conversations or break down barriers.  The key action required is: a person will tell their loved ones their decision and ask for their decision in return. a. Understand how best to maximise the registration journey's, with family conversations embedded throughout. 2. We also need to meet marketing legalisation for 2018 around marketing channel preferences so we will also undertake a review of the changes needed to the service to support this as part of our ongoing improvements. Skills & Experience • Have experience of researching mobile first solutions • Have a good understanding of available digital channels and general trends across demographics • Have experience of identifying opportunities within complex user journeys • Be able to absorb information and understand the challenge quickly • Have experience of being paired with a UX Designer to rapidly develop prototypes • Be able to quickly identify patterns and opportunities within analytical data • Have experience of running focus groups and lab interviews • Has experience of working within scrum teams, following an agile delivery methodology Nice to Haves • Experience of prototyping tools • have experience designing services for users with low digital literacy Work Location NHSBT, 500 North Bristol Park, Filton, Bristol, BS34 7QH Working Arrangments 3 days a week onsite, with the rest of the team. Travel expenses to different centres, research sessions or meetings covered only. No, the specialist will not need to be interviewed by NHS Blood and Transplant. 5. Please could you provide further detail on the 4-week timescales for this project? This piece of work will need to be completed within 4 weeks as outlined within the requirement. We are looking to commence this 4 week period as soon as possible, once the requirement has been awarded.
