Tender description

The supply of cabling services and the supply of relevant peripheral equipment (such as data and voice patch panels, data and voice outlets and fan trays) to meet the Trust's business requirements. As part of the Trust's continued commitment, to maintaining a high standard of data, voice and clinical services, we have adopted an approach to ensure that our cabling infrastructure meets up-to-date specifications for an organisation of this size and complexity. At this moment in time the current cabling infrastructure is a mixture of CAT3, CAT5 and CAT5e (Note that that CAT5e is current Trust standard not all of the mentioned), Ethernet, Single mode / multi-mode (62.5 nm) fibre estate, which supports both voice and data services. The Trust also has an extensive wireless network in place, supported by the existing CAT5e cabling infrastructure. (Please note that this information reflects the majority of the cabling infrastructure Trust wide, but not reflect older variations of Ethernet cable).
