Tender description

Taunton Deane Borough Council (TDBC) is requesting Expressions of Interest from hotel operators to take part in a tender process that will start at the end of July 2017. The procurement is being run in accordance with the requirements under Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 Light-Touch regime. Stage 1 Expressions of interest (EOI): TDBC seeks Expressions of Interest from potential operators and brands for a proposed hotel on the Firepool site in Taunton. Interested parties should complete the Expression of Interest template provided and return by the deadline for EOIs. Parties meeting the participating conditions will be invited to participate in Stage 2 Invitation to Tender. For parties that have not expressed interest at this stage, there will be no further announcement. Conditions of participation: TDBC is seeking an operator with a proven track record of operating similar hotels with demonstrable ability to deliver in the UK, with a minimum of 10 hotels under management with a combined 1 200 rooms. Proposed brands should have a current minimum of operating 20 hotels, including any hotels outside the UK. Stage 1 is intended to prequalify interested parties based on the Conditions for Participation, and there will be no formal awarding at this stage. TDBC reserves the right to terminate this process at any stage. A brochure providing details of the site and the proposal is provided. A template for completing EOIs is also provided and this should be attached to responses to this call for competition. Responses should be provided through the portal.
