Tender description

NHS Brent CCG requires a provider of outpatient Cardiology in a community setting with ability to do evening/weekend clinics. The Service will provide a Service User-centered model of care from the Provider premises, providing clear improvements to the patient experience, Service User safety and clinical outcomes. It will integrate effectively with the Brent Health Economy, and the CCG expects the Service Users' pathway to be seamless, including integrating with other Providers in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Care to reduce the risk of duplication or discontinuity of services. Whilst the present service has been successfully delivered offering good value for money, the CCG now wishes to understand if there is any additional interest in delivering the Community Cardiology Service providing out-of-hospital experience and outcomes to patients at locally agreed tariffs with addition of evening/weekend clinics. The CCG is exploring alternative options to provide the service with extended access. NHS Brent CCG reserves the right to directly award a contract should expressions of interest not be received in response to this Prior Information Notice. Invitations are not invited from suitably qualified and experienced providers, capable to deliver Community Cardiology Services. It is intended that should there be interest, that a competitive procurement process be undertaken from late August 2017. The service falls within scope of schedule 3 of the EU Procurement Directives and as such the CCG will not be held to the Directives except where they apply to Schedule 3 services. Information about the service can be obtained from www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk by searching ‘Community Cardiology Services — Brent’ — draft service specification, explanatory Memorandum of Information (MOI) and a short Market Engagement Questionnaire to assist the CCG to validate and finalise its commissioning requirements and procurement approach. The contract is intended to be for 3 years, with the CCG reserving the right to extend this for up to a further 2 years. The new service is intended to commence from 1.3.2018.
