Tender description

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the ‘Council’) is 1 of the largest Metropolitan Councils in the country and covers a wide area including the towns of Bingley, Ilkley, Keighley and Shipley. The Council has an obligation to arrange funeral services under Section 46 Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984, on behalf of people who are not willing or able themselves. Therefore the Council is seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified and experienced Funeral Directors. The Council normally arranges up to 70 funerals per year which can be either burials or cremations depending on the requests of the deceased and their families. This number is not guaranteed but is a genuine estimate of the Council's requirements each year. We are looking for a sole Undertaker who could meet all our requirements.
