Requirement to deliver construction works to maintain, repair and renew the Strategic Road Network (SRN) within Highways England South West (Area 1 & 2). Construction Works Framework (CWF) is made up of a number of different contractors from different specialist areas who will work together to deliver network improvement and maintenance schemes within the South West. The awarded Lots below represent each of the specialist areas required to successfully deliver the works. CWF1 Corrosion Protection * CWF2 Structural Concrete Repairs * CWF3 Structures; Waterproofing & Expansion Joints * CWF4A Road Lighting & Electrical Works * CWF5A General Civil Engineering North * CWF5B General Civil Engineering South * CWF6 Technology * CWF7A Landscape & Ecology * CWF8A Road Markings * CWF9 Restraint Systems (Vehicle & Pedestrian) * CWF10A Specialist Drainage * CWF11A Temporary Traffic Management North * CWF 12 Geotechnical. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the installation, maintenance and removal of parapets, bearings, painting systems including specialist corrosion protection — painting to steelwork, parapets etc. Supply of materials, plant and labour to carry out concrete repairs to highway structures, installation and commissioning of cathodic protection systems, and installation and commissioning of remote monitoring systems. Supply of material, plant and labour for the installation, maintenance and removal of any temporary works. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the installation of, and repair works to, highway structures expansions joints and waterproofing systems including testing of existing waterproofing systems. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the installation, removal and commissioning of road lighting, illuminated signs and other highway electrical equipment. There will be a requirement to make electrical installations and supplies safe in emergency situations and incidents — rapid response. Supply of materials, plant and labour to carry out construction and removal activities including but not limited to highway drainage assets, pipes, ditches, swales, ponds, the control and disposal of contaminated material, the installation of traffic signs and posts, earthworks, ducting, kerbing, footways, modular paving, site clearance, brick, block & stonework, structural steelwork, piling, temporary works, demolition and remote monitoring systems, structural concrete, highway fencing and environmental barriers. There will be a requirement to provide general civil engineering services to cover emergency situations and incidents — rapid response. Covers the North region of the South West. Supply of materials, plant and labour to carry out construction and removal activities including but not limited to highway drainage assets, pipes, ditches, swales, ponds, the control and disposal of contaminated material, the installation of traffic signs and posts, earthworks, ducting, kerbing, footways, modular paving, site clearance, brick, block & stonework, structural steelwork, piling, temporary works, demolition and remote monitoring systems, structural concrete, highway fencing and environmental barriers. There will be a requirement to provide general civil engineering services to cover emergency situations and incidents — rapid response. Covers the South region of the South West. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the construction of highway technology works including the supply and installation of specialist technology equipment. Installation, removal and commissioning of traffic signal equipment and safety cameras. Supply of materials, plant and labour to carry out landscaping and ecology works including weed control, wildlife control, ground preparation, seeding, turfing, planting, watering, tree and shrub maintenance, management of waterbodies and any other special ecological measures. There will be a requirement to provide these services to cover emergency situations and incidents — rapid response. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the installation and removal of highway road markings, road studs. There will be a requirement to undertake road marking services to cover emergency situations and incidents — rapid response. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the installation and removal of concrete road restraint systems (vehicle & pedestrian), installation and removal of steel road restraint systems (vehicle & pedestrian) including push tests of existing and new road restraint systems. Supply of materials, plant and labour to carry out the renewal or recycling of filter drain material, pipe lining, the control and disposal of contaminated material from lining works, the installation, removal and renewal of flow control equipment in stormflow or attenuation systems, CCTV surveys, installation, removal and renewal of any other drainage ancillary items, jetting and mechanical clearance of drains and soakaways. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the installation, maintenance and removal of temporary traffic management including temporary road markings and road studs, temporary safety barrier systems, temporary speed enforcement systems, temporary CCTV systems, management of breakdown recovery services. There will be a requirement to provide temporary traffic management services to cover emergency situations and incidents — rapid response. These activities are also required to support the delivery of technology maintenance currently provided by the SWRTMC. There will be a requirement to provide these services to cover emergency situations and incidents — rapid response. Covers the North region of South West. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the installation, maintenance and removal of temporary traffic management including temporary road markings and road studs, temporary safety barrier systems, temporary speed enforcement systems, temporary CCTV systems, management of breakdown recovery services. There will be a requirement to provide temporary traffic management services to cover emergency situations and incidents — rapid response. These activities are also required to support the delivery of technology maintenance currently provided by the SWRTMC. Supply of materials, plant and labour for the installation, maintenance and removal of works relating to geotechnical repairs including earthwork stabilisation, counterfort drains and soil nailing, ground anchors, slope netting (rock and soil), rock slope works including dowels, bolts, scaling, buttressing, dentition, shotcrete, ‘innovative’ stabilisation techniques, such as electrokinetic osmosis, fibre reinforced soil, soil mixing and the use of geosynthetics to reinforce soil.
