Oriel Davies Gallery project aims and objectives are to:- To create a new and enlarged cafe with high visibility capable of accommodating up to 40 people and with an external patio area, fully equipped kitchen and catering store, separate toilet/s, and able to operate independently outside gallery opening hours; To explore the potential for a light framed ‘terrace café style’ extension on Oriel Davies Gallery south side of the building also able to include arts and community space; To provide a new, modestly sized, flexible arts/community space; To re-design the building to accommodate a fully equipped gallery shop with good external visibility and adequate shop stock storage; To landscape the area adjacent to extension to include public walkway alongside park and gallery; To thoroughly investigate energy sustainability options including using gallery flat roof/s for solar panel installation. The multi-disciplinary consultant services required are: - — Lead Consultant; — Architectural Services; — Principal Designer Services (CDM); — Building Contract Administration Services; — Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services, inclusive of security and fire service design. (note — Mechanical and Electrical design means full design not performance specifications); — Cost/Quantity Surveying Services; — Structural Engineering Services; — Landscaping Services (Including External Works); — Sustainability Advisor/Assessor (Including BREEAM); — ICT (Including Design Coordination). Surveys Required — As Built and Topographical Survey, Ecology Survey, Arboriculturally Survey and Asbestos Survey.
