Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council wishes to continue an asset sponsorship scheme that has been successfully running since 2012, and sought tenders from suitably experienced organisations to provide a sponsorship management service to commence on the 1.7.2017. Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council wishes to continue an asset sponsorship scheme that has been successfully running since 2012, and sought tenders from suitably experienced organisations to provide a sponsorship management service to commence on the 1.7.2017. The successful service provider is required to work in partnership with the Council (the terms of which are set out in the conditions of contract included in the Invitation to Tender) to seek and secure maximum sponsorship from organisations for advertising returns, initially on the items and locations listed in the tender documentation. At present the Council has a portfolio of roundabouts strategically selected with the County Borough, with scope to introduce other locations or remove locations during the length of the Contract. At present, the Council is also running a pilot scheme in respect of Gateway Boundary Signs, Verges and Lighting Columns. The operation of these elements will be agreed between the Council and the Provider. Additionally, the Council will welcome new initiatives and methods of advertising that generate incremental net income and during the Contract the Council would be glad to receive representations from the successful provider as to any proposals for increased income generation that they determine appropriate. As asset sponsorship service will not only provide valuable revenue generation but will also demonstrate partnership working between the Council and the business community.
