Tender description

West Sussex County Council, with Adur and Worthing Councils, invites suitably capable infrastructure providers to attend a market engagement event. The councils are exploring options for the installation and maintenance of full fibre network (layer 1) circuits allowing for a minimum of 1Gbps (gigabits per second) connectivity to local authority sites in urban centres throughout the county, with Adur and Worthing being the first opportunity. The event will assist the councils in developing the business case, with a view to undertaking a procurement exercise in Autumn 2017, should a viable business case be identified. The Councils reserve the right not to proceed with a procurement exercise if a viable proposition is not identified.
