Repair, maintenance and associated services of vehicles and related equipment

Tender description

Somerset County Council (SCC) is looking to replace its existing fleet maintenance contract which will conclude on 31.3.2018. Currently, SCC has a fleet of 400 vehicles (the majority of which are owned by SCC) that require servicing, maintenance and body-work services and is seeking a partner to work in an agile and dynamic way to align with the Council's changing vehicle asset portfolio. The contract will form part of a framework that is lotted by districts in Somerset for maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles (Lots 1-5), and by East and West Somerset for body-repair services. This framework will operate for 4 years from the 1.4.2018 to the 31.3.2022. SCC intends to publish the ITT over the summer and welcomes feedback from interested suppliers on the proposals. Supplier's attention is drawn to the published information pack (www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk) and are asked to note that a limited number of one to one meetings are available should they be required. The scope of this opportunity may extend to members of the SWHA and/or other public sector partners including District Councils, the NHS, Schools, and Academies. This opportunity will not include SCC's winter fleet maintenance vehicles.
