Tender description

Cardiff's Material Reclamation Facility receives and processes mixed dry recyclable materials from its household and commercial waste collections. To manage plant breakdowns and peak inputs, there is a requirement for some of this waste tonnage to be processed externally by specialist waste treatment facilities. This Requirement is split into 2 Lots: Lot 1 — Household/commercial collected material. Lot 2 — End of Line Mixed Bale. Processing of unsorted mixed dry recyclables We are able to estimate that the weekly amount of this material will be on average 380 tonnes per week (Tonnage collated from residential and commercial collections). However the Council does not guarantee this volume and this may fluctuate at peak times, such as Christmas. This material is in bale form and contains a mixture of plastics and paper. We estimate an average of 45 tonnes of this material will be generated each week.
