Consultancy required to assist the organisation to improve the planning and performance management systems in response to the requirement we deliver significant cost savings while adapting and maintaining services in line with the emerging political vision for the County Council. The Performance Management System project is wide reaching and aimed at establishing an organisational environment that is focussed on delivering agreed outcomes for residents and recognising and rewarding excellent performance. The current project is a continuation of previous work, which has included: • Defining and enabling the Chief Executive's operational vision for the organisation ("Making a Difference") • Defining and delivering a strategic alignment process from strategy and policy through business planning to PDRs • Provision of one-to-one coaching for senior managers (including the Chief Executive) in performance management issues, as required • Improved performance management in Children's Services, realising 9 high quality action plans, alignment of targets, budget and workforce, and regular peer reviews The project continues the above work, as well as taking best practice into Adults Services to improve the quality of their performance and plans.
