This PIN is to notify the market of a forthcoming opportunity/announce an open market consultation for the procurement of IT Services for LLW Repository Ltd (LLWR). This PIN is not designed as a call for competition, and is for information purposes. A supporting document is appended to this PIN, to provide context to the information herein. LLWR is a waste management company that provides services to customers to treat and dispose of low-level radioactive waste. LLWR currently has 2 core sites based in Cumbria, employing 350 people. LLWR has a requirement for a managed service proposition to deliver the hosting, network and service desk solutions for the ICT services within the business. The business currently operates a Microsoft platform covering servers and desktops based across a (currently shared) centrally hosted platform handing both back-office and telephony solutions. This is delivered via an MPLS WAN carrying both IP and telephony service. LLWR currently intends to bundle its requirements into 3 lots, a structure designed to support the opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to bid, and also enable provision of a single supplier solution from those that wish to bid for all lots. Suppliers will be able to bid for one, two or all lots. LLWR plans to award the contract in December 2017, with go-live in September/October 2018. The current proposed contract length is 3+1+1 in addition to the transition period. A pre-document Supplier Engagement Day is planned for Tuesday 11.7.2017 in central Manchester (http://centralworking.com/locations/manchester). At this event LLWR will lay out the proposed procurement process, lot structure and specification at a high-level. There will be the opportunity for a Q&A with technical and procurement experts, and 1:1 meeting (duration tbc). Please note, no more than 2 people per supplier will be able to attend the event, and the closing date to register to attend is Friday 7.7.2017. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate all interested suppliers regarding 1:1 meetings, there is limited time available, so suppliers are recommended to register their interest as soon as possible.
