Scripting languages Bash+Ruby/Python Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length 12 months Latest start date Wednesday 12 July 2017 Who Speclialist Work With Working as part of the Technical Design Authority, setting direction for the Cloud Platform Ops Engineers and collaborating with Product managers and developers What Specialists Work On 1. Set strategy for Cloud Platform 2. Design new capabilities for Cloud Platform (inc BYOD, Containerisation, CI Pipeline Improvements, CSOC, HA). 2. Design Crown Hosting Solution 3. Working closely with development teams to ensure the infrastructure meets the needs of the service.4. Lead design and automation of components or layers of the infrastructure by the team ensuing they are scalable, resilient, open, efficient, secure, and cost-effective. Skills & Experience • Deep experience in our Tech stack: Linux, AWS, SDK, Puppet, Shell/Bash, Ruby/Python, Web Servers (NGINX),Logstash/Kibana/ELK • Deep experience in Networking, security and encryption (TCP/IP, LoadBalancing, DNS, Firewalls, SSL/TLS, CSOC protective monitoring technologies) • Databases (Mongo,Postgres or alternative) • Continuous integration for developing applications (Jenkins, GIT, Nexus, Artifactory or alternative tools) • Track record of designing platforms for mission critical services in line with GDS standards Nice to Haves Experience of HMPO systems Work Location London, Working Arrangments Full-Time, with some home working. Security Clearance Candidate should have valid Security Clearance with the Home Office at SC Additional T&Cs Maximum day rate guide of around £800.
