Summary of the work Work with users at the university for a week across different work areas and IT fluency to asses the human factors of the proposed user interface. To produce a report with recommendations to optimise the usability of the interface and make the user interaction as friction free as possible. Ideally on site for one full week unless able to work remotely with users to asses Human Factors of user interface. Confirming if the work required only involves assessment and recommendations report at the end. There is no work on redesigning the provided recommendations? That is correct 2. How important is the presence of the person physically at Exeter? Does in-person availability or non-availability affect getting the contract? Attendance in Exeter is not critical if the supplier can explain how they would deliver remotely 3. In terms of the deliverable (recommendation report) what are the takeaways that you are looking for? The aim of the report is to give clear points of change or improvement relating to the user interface to ensure a friction free user experience. This is more than user testing, it is to understand how users would expect the system to feel and make sure it does.So clear interface design improvements. 4. In connection to the above question, what is the acceptance criteria for the recommendation report? The recommendations will need to be evidenced, explained (for a non-technical audience) and ideally prioritised for impact on the user experience. 5. Since we will be talking to HR and IT, how many stakeholders we are expected to talk to? The university has c.4000 staff in professional and academic roles. We will need to capture a broad demographic by age, gender, service and college. I would hope to engage 20-30 users in this time. 6. Any reason, worth mentioning, that triggered for this exercise? The ePRD system is new. It is the first time the University of Exeter has sought to go beyond standard user testing and this project presents an opportunity to asses the value of this kind of expertise for other projects. 7. Please could you confirm if the duration of role is only 6 days in total i.e., 5 days on site + 1 day to produce report? Yes - it is assumed that there will be five days gathering data and a day producing the report. Six days in total.
