Tender description

This is not a call for competition and is not yet a contract opportunity. Somerset County Council is seeking a dialogue with organisations about a drugs and alcohol service(s) to cover early intervention for adults and treatment services (Tier 3) for adults and young people. The contract(s) will commence on 1.4.2019. This service is commissioned by SCC working with the Strategic Drug and Alcohol Partnership Board (SDAP) for Somerset. Our Vision is a service which: — looks at people's strengths,not just problems; — places the client at the centre — as a partner; — takes a proactive / assertive approach to engagement — opens up options and supports aspirations; — whatever the age of the client, a service that works to a model of ‘Think Family — Think Community — Think Partner’; — makes best use of technology to deliver interventions and communicate with clients and is innovative, creative and forward looking; — is outward looking and collaborative with a range of partners. SCC intends to run a procurement process in Autumn 2017. We are holding market engagement events to have a dialogue about the future service between SCC, SDAP partners and organisations that may wish to deliver the future service(s). Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by SCC to undertake a procurement procedure. We will offer you a place for your second or third preferred dates if places are fully booked at your first choice. A session may be cancelled if the numbers booked are minimal. If you cannot attend an event the presentation and notes will be available through the e tender system ProContract.
