Tender description

Kent County Council sought tenders from suitably experienced organisations who could deliver a county-wide clinical psychology support service for children and young people in care up until their 18th birthday, who are placed with the Council's in-house foster carers with the aim of increasing placement stability, and reducing the number of placement disruptions. The service will support the overall emotional well-being of children and young people providing crisis intervention and supporting foster carers to maintain the fostering placement. The vision for the service is to have full time clinical psychology input to support foster carers, children and young people. The service will be part of the hub of professionals dedicated to supporting children placed with the Councils foster carers, adoptive placements and in the future, care leavers. The service will commence on 3.7.2017 and continue for a period of 3 years initially with 2 years extension.
