The Defence Clothing Team, which forms part of Leidos Supply Ltd, is considering the potential requirement for the service, repair, maintenance and refurbishment of Physical Training (PT) equipment within Ministry of Defence locations. An asset management/information register portal/database may be explored as part of this requirement. The Defence Clothing Team, which forms part of Leidos Supply Ltd, is considering the potential requirement for the service, repair, maintenance and refurbishment of Physical Training (PT) equipment within Ministry of Defence locations. An asset management/information register portal/database may be explored as part of this requirement. This equipment includes cardiovascular, strength and ancillary items. Examples of the equipment are — treadmills, cross trainers, rowing machines, spinning bikes, arm curl, shoulder press, multi gyms and lateral pull machines. The Ministry of Defence has approximately 10,000+ pieces of PT equipment located within gymnasiums, training facilities, rehabilitation centres, territorial army centres, ships and submarines. PT equipment is also located overseas including but not limited to Bahrain, Brunei, Cyprus, Falkland Islands, Germany, Gibraltar, Kenya, and operational theatres. This requirement is to provide a service, repair and maintenance solution once the original equipment warranty (normally between 2-5 years) has expired. The requirement is expected to include the following service levels; One-off service, repair and maintenance — UK only All inclusive 12 month service, repair and maintenance provision — UK only Overseas provision The equipment has been supplied by over 80 different manufacturers, however the bulk of the equipment has been supplied by the following manufacturers — Concept II, Keiser, Life Fitness, Matrix Fitness, Powersport, Pulse Fitness, Star Trac, Technogym.
