Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is one of the EPA's core business functions, the Lots in this Framework will provide the additional GIS expertise to maintain and advance the GIS service within the EPA. The discipline of GIS includes a wide range of applications, typically GIS professional focus on a particular area of GIS with quite defined and different skillsets. To reflect this diversity of skills 4 GIS Service Lots are defined within this framework to cover: — GIS Data and Applications Management; — GIS Solutions Design and Development; — GIS Spatial Analysis; — Remote Sensing. The EPA intends to conclude one or more specific call-off contracts in one or more areas of expertise as described within the tender. This lot is focused on supporting the creation and management of spatial data and GIS applications. The business of the EPA is focused on the environment therefore tenderers will be assessed on their understanding and experience of environmental spatial data and GIS applications management. This lot is focused on the design and development of spatial data and GIS applications. This lot is focused on the development of spatial assessment methodologies that will facilitate evidence based environmental assessments by business teams within the EPA. This lot is focused on the development of remote sensing methodologies that will facilitate the creation of new environmental spatial data and support evidence based environmental assessments by business teams within the EPA.
