Tender description

SSE requires suppliers to train and accredit operatives on machinery, plant and safety in line with NPORS standards and intends to award a Framework or Frameworks for Training Providers of Plant Operators. Instructions and documentation to gain access to this procurement can be found at the web-page provided (http://sse.com/potential-suppliers/). Once suppliers have completed the form with their contact details in the format provided and emailed this to the email address listed in this notice (ps.procurement@sse.com) with the following email subject title ‘REF: 10390; SSE Framework for Training Providers of Plant Operators’, they will be contacted with registration details to access the procurement in SSE's electronic sourcing tool IBM Emptoris. Any queries should be directed by email to: ps.procurement@sse.com with the reference number and procurement title clearly identified. SSE holds NPORS certificates for on-site training throughout the UK. The provider would be asked to deliver training either on 1 of these SSE sites or the providers' own sites depending on convenience of learners. SSE has a workforce spread throughout the UK, with particular focus in Scotland, South East England and South West England. Whilst a schedule of delivery is negotiable, potential applicants should be advised SSE operates in a storm season between October and March. During this period candidates are available for training but emergency response requirements may cause disruptions.
