Contract for Tees Valley Business Compass Growth - Specialist Provision

Invitation to Tender Tees Valley Combined Authority was successful in applying for funding from the European Regional Development Fund to deliver a programme of support to SMEs in the Tees Valley which is known as Business Compass Growth. Further funding via the European Structural Investment Fund is being applied for to complement the current activity of Business Compass Growth by deploying 4 additional programmes of activity. The project will complement the current activities of Business Compass Growth by deploying 4 additional programmes of activity providing specialisms in the areas of supply chain development, manufacturing and productivity improvement and investor readiness. This will include the provision of advice and support for local, national & international supply chain interventions; provision of independent access to finance advice, support for investment in product & process improvement (particularly in the manufacturing sector) and advice and support for SMEs to enter, establish & expand into new domestic and international markets. Whilst the recently recruited Business Compass team are experienced in working with SMEs, they have not been recruited on the basis of specific technical abilities and this resource will therefore complement not duplicate that activity. A market engagement event was held in order to give potential suppliers the opportunity to understand more about this contract in order to determine if they would like to bid. The event took place on 7th June 2017 at Tees Valley Combined Authority We now invite tenders for the specialist support service. Please note: This contract is subject to funding being received from ERDF. If the application is not successful the contract will not go ahead.
