Construction Project Manager for Kirkgate and Glasshoughton

Tender description

To operate as Site Supervisor as defined by NEC construction contract, and to operate as project manager as delegated by the Named Project Manager, for the Kirkgate - Wakefield Scheme and the Glasshoughton Southern Link Road. The Kirkgate Scheme is started construction early May 2017 for twelve months followed by the Glasshoughton Southern Link Road for planned to take a further 12 months to construct. Within this context, extensive knowledge and experience of the following is required: • NEC option C contracts. • Management of the construction of large highway schemes. • Working with and for a local authority client. • Managing design process and design changes for delivery of major civil engineering schemes • Delivery of City Centre works, including major traffic management requirements. (Kirkgate) • Delivery of schemes involving liaison with developers and landowners carrying out concurrent work during the road construction work. As these schemes are funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority, experience of the WYCA reporting processes, procedures and requirements would be an advantage.
