Tender description

The Isle of Wight Council (‘the Authority’) invited Tenders from suitably qualified providers (‘Tenderers’) for the provision of a 0-19 Years Public Health Nursing Service on the Isle of Wight (Lot 1) and an Integrated Sexual Health Service on the Isle of Wight (Lot 2). The contract(s) is to run from 1.9.2017 for a period of 3 years. About the Lots This tender was divided into 2 lots. Tenderers could bid for either or both lots. 1 Supplier would be appointed per lot. Lot 1 — 0-19 Years Public Health Nursing Service on the Isle of Wight; Lot 2 — Integrated Sexual Health Service on the Isle of Wight. Lot 1 — 0-19 Years Public Health Nursing Service on the Isle of Wight. The 0-19 Years Public Health Nursing Service will combine the functions of the health visiting and school nursing services to create a team that will work together to deliver the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) for children, young people and families that has a family centred approach and has a focus on prevention and early intervention that contributes to the improvement of children and young people's health and a reduction in health inequalities. The 0-19 service will work across a number of stakeholders, settings and organisations to lead the delivery of the HCP. The Authority is looking for a provider who can deliver an integrated sexual health service model that aims to improve sexual health by providing easy access to services, at the right place at the right time, through open access ‘one stop shops’, where the majority of sexual health and contraceptive needs can be met at 1 site, usually by one health professional. It is expected that the integrated sexual health service will utilise the potential to work across a number of stakeholders, settings and organisations to improve efficiency and reduce duplication for both the service and the service users alike.
