MOJ & HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) are in the early stages of a project which will deliver the next generation service for the supply of Control & Restraint, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for local and Advanced trained staff operating across the HMPPS estate. This covers all establishments across the justice estate in England and Wales, including an estimated 3,000 specialist (Advanced) trained staff. The current scope of equipment includes: body armour, arm/leg and groin protection, gloves, flame retardant clothing, helmets and a range of support equipment. The next generation contracts, and the equipment they cover, must be capable of adapting to user feedback and changing requirements within the estate. Suppliers must be able to provide customer support to officers in regards to order tracking, complaints and returns. We are conducting pre-procurement activities (see additional info), using our Bravo solution to publish materials (see Buyers Profile). Anti Stab Vests (with protection ratings for stab and blunt force trauma). — Arm Guards — Leg Guards — Groin protection (M/F). Gloves (incl. fingerless/Method of Entry gloves for dexterity). Fire retardant coveralls including balaclavas and fire retardant undergarments. Helmets complete with Anti-scratch and Anti-mist visor. Includes but may not be limited to: Shields Shield bags Kit Bags Batons Boots Belts Dragon lamps and personal lighting Water bottles and carriers Handcuff pouches (compatible with ratchet style handcuffs) Water & wind proof/resistant smocks Personal Fire Extinguishers Method of Entry (MOE) equipment/PPE Polycarbonate 24” batons with carrying equipment (“frogs”) TAC/Molle vests (Commanders, MoE).
