Tender description

This requirement involves the recovery, transportation and temporary storage of Abandoned Vehicles found within the Kent County boundary. Abandoned Vehicles are reported by District Councils directly to the Provider. Once collected by the Provider, registered vehicle owners are the contacted by Kent County Council, to ascertain whether they wish to reclaim their vehicle. The provider will be expected to facilitate the collection of reclaimed vehicles from their sites by members of the public. Should the owner not wish to reclaim their vehicle, the Provider will be responsible for disposing of the vehicle. Tenderers should consult the Specification in the Forms for Completion document for further information. This requirement relates to the recovery, storage and disposal (where appropriate) of vehicles abandoned within the West Kent area. Tenderers should refer to the Instructions to Tenderers document for details of Indicative Vehicle volumes for Lot 1. Any quantities shown within the tender documents and any relevant documentation are estimated and the Council gives no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any such quantities. This requirement relates to the recovery, storage and disposal (where appropriate) of vehicles abandoned within the Mid Kent area. Tenderers should refer to the Instructions to Tenderers document for details of Indicative Vehicle volumes for Lot 2. Any quantities shown within the tender documents and any relevant documentation are estimated and the Council gives no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any such quantities. This requirement relates to the recovery, storage and disposal (where appropriate) of vehicles abandoned within the East Kent area. Tenderers should refer to the Instructions to Tenderers document for details of Indicative Vehicle volumes for Lot 3. Any quantities shown within the tender documents and any relevant documentation are estimated and the Council gives no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any such quantities.
