Signalling renewals on South Wales main line from Port Talbot Parkway to Cockett Tunnel and Swansea Station. P-Way Crossover Works, S&T Mechanical and Detection setup, Critical Rail Temperature Management, Traditional Cantilever Signal Support Structures and Foundations, Lightweight Straight Post Signal Foundations, Redundant Signal Structure recoveries, Cable runs and crossings, and Contingent Labour & Ancillary Works. Works includes P-Way Crossover Works, S&T Mechanical and Detection setup, Critical Rail Temperature Management, Traditional Cantilever Signal Support Structures and Foundations, Lightweight Straight Post Signal Foundations, Redundant Signal Structure recoveries, Cable runs and crossings, and Contingent Labour & Ancillary Works. NB: The proposed strategy of combining both the Civil Engineering and P-Way Works was to reduce risk by reducing the number of Major Contractor Interfaces in the Hub & Spoke Model. Tenderers are selected from Link-up RISQS Engineering codes 12.05.03 Straight Posts; 12.05.04 Foundations;12.06.01 Piling: and Track 03.02.03 Track Modular Systems. The tender period was planned to start (about) 18.4.2016 with tender submission 15.5.2016. A contract commencement date was expected of 1.7.2016 with a completion date of 31.10.2016. Tender interviews were expected the 3rd week of May 2016.
