PLYMOUTH AND SW PENINSULA CITY DEAL - CASE WORKER CONTRACT information event

Tender description

The Personalised Mentors Project started in 2015 as part of the Plymouth and South West Peninsula City Deal and current contracts will conclude in January 2018. Plymouth City Council intends to tender the service for a further 4 years with commitments for an initial 18 month service to be reviewed thereafter. The service comprises a Management function and a Framework for delivery of personalised mentoring packages to individuals. The aim of the service is to improve employability of individual 18-24 year olds across the Local Authority Areas of Cornwall, Plymouth, Devon, Torbay and Somerset by providing individually tailored packages of support from a personal mentor. The individual support packages will be for up to 4 hours a week and up to 12 weeks followed by in-work support for up to 26 weeks. This is a pilot project for the Department of Work and Pensions and delivery mechanisms are evaluated to inform performance and are reviewed periodically. It is intended to hold an information event on the 27th June in Plymouth to provide the detail of the requirements of the contract and to answer any questions regarding the proposed tender.
