Summary of the work NSoIT(D) Design - Support to Run Manager , responsible for ensuring the prioritisation and escalation of live issues into the Design team. As well as ensuring the solutions are monitored and reported on from start to finish. Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length 9 Months with options to extend to the two year point (Pending financial approval) Latest start date Monday 17 July 2017 Maximum Day Rate We will pay up to £580.40 per day EX VAT to include agency fees. Please note that Intermediaries legislation applies to this assignment (Inside IR35), take this into account when choosing your candidate and ensure they are aware at the outset. Early Market Engagement N/A Who Speclialist Work With Civilian, Military and contractors within the New Style of Information Technology (Deployed) team. What Specialists Work On Responsible for reviewing problem management and incident trends and proactively taking actions to identify problems and remove errors for a the NSoIT(D) Live system. Provides a single point of contact for problems which arise from the Live system requiring design intervention. Responsible for ownership and coordination of actions of those Live Design problems to analyse for root cause, identify Known Error and coordinating actions to remove the error. Raise Change requests into the Design Team and work with the Design Technical Co-ord and Design Manager to ensure the change is prioritised correctly and sufficient resources are allocated. Skills & Experience • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems- 10% • ITIL Certified to Service Management Practitioner Level- 10% • Demonstrable customer management / service experience- 5% • 3 Yrs + Experience of working within a busy first level service desk environment in a problem manager role- 5% • Must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentational), showing tact, effective listening skills and present and defend points of view to a variety of audiences- 5% • Proven track record of working and delivering multiple IT front-end and back-end solutions, development and release management strategies and change management- 5% • Good organisational skills plus the ability to motivate people across the organisation to provides solutions- 5% • Candidate must be a team player and be able to follow processes and procedures, with an ability to analyse large amounts of data- 5% • Sound technical knowledge from a service desk perspective- 5% • Decision maker with an operational outlook- 5% • Defence or Public Sector experience- 5% Nice to Haves • A recognised Project Management Qualification- 5% • Experience in Agile Methods with supporting qualification- 5% • Experience of working in a Dev Ops environment- 5% • Experience of working with a technical engineering design team- 5% • Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring problems to closure from a technical point of view with minimum direction, guidance and oversight- 5% • Ability to handle a complex delivery landscape - multiple suppliers, multiple stakeholders- 5% • Experience in providing engineering leadership of multi-disciplinary teams in large public or private sector organisations- 5% Work Location ISS, Building 405, Spur D2, Westwells Road, MOD Corsham, SN13 9NR Working Arrangments Individuals are to manage their delivery of tasks. As Design Management are only available to receive or review products during the core working week (37 hours per week) within a bandwidth of 08:00 - 17:00, individuals are to be available during that period. All tasking deliverables are to be delivered to MoD Corsham (On-Site). If 'OFF-SITE' working is required expenses will require Line management approval and up to a limit of £5k for the term of the contract. All resources will be provided On-Site, inc access to MoD’s IT systems. No utilisation of personal or company laptops will be permitted. Security Clearance Individuals will be required to hold a minimum of 'DV' clearance. DV Clearance must be in place prior to the contract starting. DV status must be valid for the duration of the contract. BPSS or Disclosure Scotland is not acceptable and the Authority will NOT sponsor DV Clearance. Additional T&Cs Intermediaries legislation applies to this assignment (Inside IR35), take this into account when choosing your candidate and ensure they are aware at the outset. MoD will not accept SC nor will it sponsor anyone to obtain clearance.
