Tender description

On behalf of the Glasgow City Alcohol and Drug Partnership NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde along with key local partners which to commission an alcohol and drug prevention and education contract for Glasgow City. A provider or consortium of providers is sought to develop and deliver this contract which will be formed of 3 lots 1. Alcohol Brief Interventions 2. Training and Workforce Development 3. Multiple Risk prevention and education programme for the school setting and a multiple risk 1:1 service for Vulnerable Children and Young People. Lot 1. Support the coordination, roll-out and delivery of alcohol brief interventions in the wider community and primary care settings. Devise and deliver training and resource support for community based staff working with children, young people and adults to increase their effective contribution to alcohol and drug prevention and education. Lot 3. Develop and deliver a multiple risk programme for all primary and secondary schools across Glasgow City targeted at children and young people in key transitional stages that includes alcohol, drugs and tobacco. Lot 3. Development of a new service that identifies and supports vulnerable children and young people at risk from their own or another's alcohol or drug use utilising an evidence based multiple risk programme.
