Tender description

The Authority has a statutory duty to collect and accommodate stray dogs for a period of 7 days. After the 7 day period has lapsed stray dogs that have not been reclaimed become the responsibility of the Authority and in the majority of cases these dogs are re-homed. The Authority is currently looking for a provider to fulfil the requirement of kennelling of stray dogs for the statutory kennelling period of 7 days. Access to kennels is required 24 hours a day, everyday including all bank holiday days/nights by staff members working within the Dog Warden section of the Authority. The Authority proposes to enter into 1 Contract for a period of 3 years with the successful Tenderer (Service Provider), with an option to extend for a period or periods of up to a maximum of 24 months.
