The contract is for the provision of 6 no new build social housing accommodation at Channing Street, Belfast to create: — 4 no. 1 person 1 bedroom General Needs apartments — 2 no. 2 person 1 bedroom General Needs apartments (to include lift) The site is a compact brownfield site located in a busy residential area just off the Castlereagh Road in East Belfast. At present the site is occupied by three disused terraced houses located at the end of a residential street. There is a haulage yard located to the rear of the site. The site will be cleared prior to the contract commencing. Site surveys are still to be undertaken. The contractor will be responsible for all services etc. to develop this site and for providing, prior to completion, the relevant statutory approvals and documentation. The scheme is to be on site late 2017. The contract period is anticipated to be 12 months.
