CA GEN is the software used for the design, delivery and operation of the DVLA's legacy vehicles application system. CA own the IPR and exclusive rights to provide this software including upgrades and bug fixes. CA GEN is the software used for the design, delivery and operation of the legacy vehicles application system, VSS, which in turn supports the other vehicle systems such as EVL. VSS is central to our core business as without it no Vehicle excise duty can be collected. CA own the IPR and exclusive rights to provide this software including upgrades and bug fixes.
