Supply of hardware, software and maintenance for LAN and Security Infrastructure

Tender description

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is inviting tenders for • Provision of identified Hardware and maintenance • Provision of identified Software and maintenance For the last 5 years the Councils WAN and LAN has been provided by a third party supplier. A tender exercise was undertaken for the WAN replacement and a new supplier has been identified. With the provision of a new WAN the opportunity has been taken to review our current LAN and Security Infrastructure. As part of this exercise Tameside Council have considered the strategic requirements of the IT network infrastructure going forward to deliver the necessary levels of connectivity and security for the foreseeable future. A review of our current infrastructure has been completed and an exercise has already been undertaken to identify the infrastructure required to support the new TMBC Core and Security Infrastructure. Consequently the Council will not consider responses which propose other brands or solutions other than those already identified in this document. Details of the hardware and software identified can be found in section B Document 2, Schedule of Prices and Rates Given that the infrastructure has already been identified the award criteria will be based on price, however suppliers must be a UK authorised Fortinet partner at Platinum level.
