Sefton, Knowsley and Liverpool Domiciliary Care Contracts – Supplier Soft Market Test Event

Sefton MBC, Knowsley MBC and Liverpool City Council, are working together to jointly develop a commissioning approach to secure sustainable and innovative domiciliary care provision across the three authorities. Sefton MBC and Knowsley MBC are planning to tender domiciliary care in autumn 2017, with Liverpool City Council planning on joining the arrangement at a later date when their contracts expire. The authorities are developing a new model of domiciliary care. Some of the key model elements are: • Outcomes based commissioning • Community Connection • Trusted Assessor • Enabling care to maximise independence • Tech based innovation to support service delivery and quality improvement This supplier soft market test event has been organised to engage with providers interested in working in these areas about the proposed model and help us determine the size of contracts (hours) and formulate geographic boundaries in Knowsley and Sefton that will support service providers to manage and deliver services efficiently and improve the quality of services.
