Tender description

The Authority wishes to procure the following services in respect of refuse derived fuel (‘RDF’) output produced by the Authority's mechanical biological treatment facility at Brookhurst Wood in the county of West Sussex: a) collection from designated collection points; b) transport to the service provider's intermediate and or final treatment facility; and c) treatment services (including without limitation any RDF pre-treatment or preparation for final treatment and including but not limited to storage, compaction, containerisation, baling, wrapping, blending and re-packing, if relevant) in order to divert RDF from Landfill in an affordable, cost-effective and sustainable manner. Full details are contained in the procurement documentation. The contract term envisaged is five years with an Authority option to extend for up to 5 years so that the total contract term shall not exceed 10 years. The anticipated service commencement date is 1.11.2017.
