This will involve different types of career transitions including redundancy but also support for early retirement, it is therefore important we have an offer of outplacement service support which can be tailored to the needs of the individual. This demonstrates respect for the individual and is in line with our values as an organisation. The Cabinet Office document 2016 Protocol — Civil Service Redundancy Principles guidelines on good practice for redundancy outlines provisions for supporting employees at risk of redundancy and this may include providing professional outplacement services, if budgets and circumstances allow. In addition the offer of outplacement is in line with our Values. In addition it mitigates risk and the likelihood of unfair dismissal claims.
