The Defence Medical Services have a commitment to provide core continuing professional development (CPD) for regular, civilian and reserve personnel who carry out dental services for the Ministry of Defence. A delivery method of training is required that can be accessed by any dental personnel from any location in the world. A web based portal is required that is accessible via any worldwide internet terminal. The portal will deliver all core and recommended CPD as detailed by the General Dental Council. In addition the portal will allow the development of additional Authority training material including live webinars and video streaming of a wide variety of training material. The Contractor is to provide core CPD topics including: — Medical emergencies. — Radiography/radiation protection. — Infection prevention control. — Legal and ethical issues. — Complaint handling. — Oral cancer. — Safeguarding children and young people. — Safeguarding vulnerable adults. The Contractor is to provide the above updated training material to all dental personnel in the form of the following: — Live video/audio presentation to allow in-house SMEs to deliver training. — Video/audio streaming services to allow worldwide access to training material. — Delivery system for training articles, journals, new materials and instruments. — Specialist training for key dental groups. — Case presentation capability with Q&A functionality. — In-house upload functionality for new training material. No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting framework agreement or contract indeed there is no guarantee that any framework agreement or contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting framework agreement is withdrawn for any reason.
