Tender description
Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer equipped with specific components / capabilities (not complete listing here), Cryo sample handing and Cryo vacuum transfer systems. E.G. — Liquid metal ion gun (LMIG) (capable of achieving <70 nm lateral resolution); — Thermal ionization Cs source (capable of low energy depth profiling of inorganic samples); — Low energy gas ion gun (capable of low energy depth profiling of inorganic samples) to be operated with O2, Ar, and Xe; — Gas cluster ion beam (GCIB) (capable of being utilised as for organic depth profiling and as an analysis ion gun); — Mass Analyser 1 (capable of a achieving a mass resolution >11 000); — Mass analyser 2 (capable of achieving mass resolution of up to 240 000 (FWHM)); — Full mass resolution and mass accuracy also in the MS2 (daughter ion) spectra; — Advanced MS/MS (tandem MS) capabilities with precise precursor selection using higher-energy collisional dissociation of the secondary ions. ETC. Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer with specific components and capabilities. As detailed in the ITT Documentation available from URL shown in Section I.3 Communications. The requirement is for sample handling capabilities under cryo-conditions capable of sample manipulation under cryo-conditions following high pressure freezing. The requirement is for sample transfer capabilities under cryo/vacuum conditions to be compatible with the system detailed in Lot No 2. This system will enable the transfer of biological samples into an ultra high vacuum Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer instrument and high vacuum EM instrumentation, prepared and maintained in the frozen hydrated state. Cryo/vacuum-sample transfer chamber should be available under appropriate vacuum and temperature conditions, and within a timely manner, to avoid sublimation and devitrification).
