Tender description

Cashless parking payment system for on-street pay and display parking with multiple payment options for Dublin City Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Council, South Dublin Council, Fingal Council, Meath County Council and Kildare County Council. Parking Tag is Dublin City Council's cashless parking payment system which has been in operation since 2009 and has expanded to cover all 4 Dublin Local Authorities. The system has continuously evolved since its initial launch with multiple payment options now facilitated. The Council will shortly be advertising for a new contract for a cashless parking payment system/s for Dublin City Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, South Dublin County Council, Fingal County Council, Meath County Council and Kildare County Council and wishes to conduct a Market Consultation with interested parties. Please note that this is not a call for competition and no tender documents are available at this stage. Also the process will not be utilised in order to preclude any future competition to be conducted by Dublin City Council. Without prejudice to competition in the market place, the purpose of this market consultation will be to examine and consider the various technical and commercial options which might present themselves through a competitive tender process to be advertised in the near future. The market consultation may also assist Dublin City Council in the development of the procurement strategy for any subsequent competition.
