Tender description

Following Ely Museum being awarded a First Round Heritage Lottery Grant, the Museum are seeking to appoint an Interpretative and Exhibition Designer to develop the Exhibition scheme to RIBA Stage 3 level of design development and working with the wider Team to submit a Second Round Heritage Lottery Fund Bid application. In summary, the scheme includes the internal remodelling/ refurbishment of the Listed Old Gaol building together with the modification of the existing extension to form a two storey structure that will incorporate a new passenger lift to provide access to upper floor of the Old Goal. A contract for the Exhibition Fit-out/ Collections Redisplay will take place in the Old Gaol following the completion of the Base Build Works. The Base Build Construction works will be managed by others via a separate contract.
