Summary of the work As part of its mandate OSCT retains an Operational Support function with responsibility for managing the Home Office’s response to a CT Crisis. As part of its supporting mandate OSCT’s Operational Support Team has access to a suite of rooms designed and equipped to be used during a crisis situation Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 1 Month Latest start date Monday 3 July 2017 Maximum Day Rate £600 Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work with the following: •HODDaT OSCT IT Portfolio Account Team •OSCT Operational Support Team (the primary business customer) •OSCT Knowledge and Information Management Team (the supporting business customer) •Other business units in OSCT. •Other Government Departments and Agencies (including the Cabinet Office and the MPS). What Specialists Work On The specialist will work with the following: •HODDaT OSCT IT Portfolio Account Team •OSCT Operational Support Team (the primary business customer) •OSCT Knowledge and Information Management Team (the supporting business customer) •Other business units in OSCT •Other Government Departments and Agencies (including the Cabinet Office and the MPS) •Identify the core business operating requirements for the OSCT Ops Support Team both during steady state/BaU Operations and during a crisis period •Identify and assist with mapping the core and critical stakeholders (internal and external) associated with the above •Identify the core ICT systems capabilities needed •Other tasks and requirements Skills & Experience Experience of providing professional business analytical support to complex organisations together with the ability to be proactive and work at pace is critical Nice to Haves Experience of working within the national security community would be useful. Work Location Home Office 2 Marsham Street London SW1P 4DF Working Arrangments Office based face to face Security Clearance A minimum of SC Clearance is required (DV would be helpful). The successful applicant should also hold UK nationality. What is the lead time for feedback once the application is submitted? All feedback will be given after 1 week 2. 1. Maximum number of applications that could be submitted. 2. Date when the feedback would be provided on the submitted application. 1. I would recommend 1 or 22. No set date this will be given after 1 week 3. Could you confirm that the expected contract length for this role really is just one month? 1 Month and maybe 2 weeks over lapse. 4. What is the likelihood this will extend beyond the initial 1 month engagement? 1 month with a 2 week lapse 5. SC Clearance - Is SC clearance required at point of engagement or Home office can sponsor the successful candidate for SC clearance process? Minimum SC will be required. 6. In a previous answer you have mentioned submitting two candidates. Please confirm if we can submit two candidates and how we will be able to do that. Apologies it is only 1 candidate sorry for the confusion 7. Hi - would you consider someone with NPPV2 clearance? NPPV2 is not National Security Vetting clearance therefore not recognised by HO 8. Can you please confirm whether this is full time or part time for 1 month or identify how many days work is expected Full time 5 days a week 9. Does this role fall within IR35? We have completed an IR35 assessment on the HMRC tool. Provided the requirements on substitution are met by the supplier this does not fall within the scope of IR35
