Air Pollution Monitoring Study

Tender description

The London Borough of Hillingdon wishes to commission an air pollution monitoring study for nitrogen dioxide in 15 identified locations in the borough. The monitoring is to be a carried out via the use of diffusion tubes in accordance with the DEFRA Technical Guidance TG16. Using the air quality modelling carried out by the GLA, the borough has identified 15 locations where monitoring of the nitrogen dioxide levels is required. These locations are outside of the current declared Air Quality Management Area (AQMA), the results will aid the borough in deciding whether the AQMA needs to be redeclared. The locations have been provided on the attached maps. The project will need to assess the most suitable monitoring point at each identified location to ensure it represents worsecase relevant public exposure. The results are to be presented in a report alongside the location information, raw data and the bias adjusted, (or annualised if applicable) results. The quote should identify the costs of a six month study, a nine month study and a 12 month study.
