Tender description

Victoria Academies Trust wishes to appoint 1 contractor to provide catering services at the following schools: Fibbersley Academy, Willenhall Walsall and Rowley Park Academy, Stafford. Victoria Academies Trust wishes to appoint one contractor to provide catering services at the following schools: Fibbersley Academy, Noose Lane, Willenhall, WV13 3BB; Rowley Park Academy, 66 Highfield Grove, Stafford, ST17 9RF. In tendering the Catering Contract, the Schools are looking for potential contractors to demonstrate their experience and expertise to manage the catering team and ensuring that they cook good quality meals from a range of creative and innovative menus, whilst ensuring compliance with Government Nutritional and Food Based Standards. The schools want to appoint a caterer to provide a fully managed catering service. The schools want the caterer to provide meals that will encourage the school community to make healthy choices and in turn increase the uptake of the meals that are served. The catering provision will be based each school which has a purpose built modern kitchen and shared use dining room. Several catering staff are employed on Local Authority terms and conditions of employment. The invitation to Tender is for the 2 schools together to be managed by 1 contractor for the duration of the contract. No submissions citing a provision for either school as an individual contract will not be accepted. The contract will be awarded for a period of 3 years, commencing from 1.9.2017. Tender Schedule A site visit to the School will be conducted to enable Tenderers to gain an understanding of the School site and the services required. A site meeting has been arranged for 23rd and 24th March, commencing at 11:30. Tenderers will have the opportunity to view the existing catering facility and lunch service at the site. No more than 2 representatives of each company are to attend the initial site meeting. Tenders should be sent no later than 12:00 on 18.4.2017. Tenders received after this date and time will not be considered. Following detailed evaluation, short listed Tenderers may be required to make a presentation of their proposals to representatives of Fibbersley Park Primary School and Rowley Park Primary Academy. Samples of food that is going to be served at each school will be required for no more than 10 people. Each company will also be required to prepare a presentation for a panel of no more than 10 people. The date of the shortlisted tenders event is 18.5.2017. A final decision is anticipated by 20.5.2017.
