School catering services

Tender description

The Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP) is a Multi Academy Trust operating in Kent which comprises of 22 schools of which 5 are secondary schools. This tender is for catering services at the secondary schools. There is also a separate tender that is following a similar procurement time-line for the primary schools within the Trust. All 5 of the secondary schools within the Trust are planned to join the contract initially. In addition 1 non-Trust primary school who currently receives their meals delivered from 1 of the Trust secondary schools, is also planned to join the contract. The Trust requires the services of a competent and professional outsourced catering provider who can provide a range of nutritious meals to students and staff which meet and exceed Government standards. The Contract period will be for 3 years initially with the option to extend for 2 further 1 year periods. Estimated full contract value is expected to be in the region of 4 000 000 GBP. The mission statement of KCSP is for Catholic schools across Kent to deliver outstanding spiritual, moral and learning outcomes for children and young people by collaborating as a Catholic community of academies, working together and with others, and based on excellent leadership and teaching, with Gospel values at its heart. All 5 of the secondary schools within the Trust are planned to join the contract initially. In addition 1 non-Trust primary school who currently receives their meals delivered from 1 of the Trust secondary schools, is also planned to join the contract. The initial planned schools are as follows: Schools St Anselm's Catholic Secondary School, Canterbury; St Edmund's Catholic Secondary School, Dover; St Gregory's Catholic Secondary School, Tunbridge Wells; St Simon Stock Catholic Secondary School, Maidstone; Ursuline College Catholic Secondary School, Margate; Provides meals to St Saviour's Church of England Junior School; St Saviour's Church of England Junior School; Non-Trust school, receives meals from Ursuline College Catholic Secondary School, Margate. The Trust requires the services of a competent and professional outsourced catering provider who can provide a range of nutritious meals to students and staff which meet and exceed Government standards. The Contract period will be for 3 years initially with the option to extend for 2 further 1 year periods. The Trust's secondary schools currently receive their catering services from a combination of in house and outsourced providers and some of the catering staff are members of LGPS. The Trust owns all of its own light and heavy equipment. Estimated full contract value is expected to be in the region of 4 000 000 GBP.
